This is What my Time Looks Like

Yes, I did download it.  No, it's not good enough to buy.  That being said, it is a mediocre dungeon crawler with enough depth to keep me occupied for a couple of hours when I have nothing else to be doing.  I just started it yesterday, hence the missing post, but things will be getting totally back on schedule starting this week.

E3 is HappeninOH MY GOD THE FLOOD

So I read a lot of video game news, because I have no life at all, and so of course I'm aware that E3 is happening. What I was not aware of, however, was that my Google Reader would be hit by a Hurricane Katrina of updates (I'll take that Doctorate in Toosoonology now, thank you very much). Here's my quick wrap-up of today at E3:

47 new Final Fantasy 13 trailers
2 new Mario games
1 new Metroid game
800 Halo ODST updates
Assasin's Creed 2 is really coming out?

Burn it down burn it down burn it down burn it down. E3 needs to slow it down with the news, and IGN needs to shut down all the live blogging. They'll do it live, but I'll keep doing it from my notes.

This is One of Those Filler Videos

Lots of people have already watched and re-posted this video, but I just have nothing better to say today:

Oh yeah, except that kids only really play video games for reason number 2on this list. And even then, that's a really small minority of overly intellectual people.

Clearly the article was written by an old guy. Why don't parents, heaven forbid, talk to their own children about it rather than read this stupid irrelevant article written by an outsider looking in? Wow. I just got my doctorate in Sociology.

Owning a PS3 and a nice sound system makes you a terroritst

Terrorists at work. I think sending out a SWAT team may have been a bit... much. I mean, I can understand the whole situation of "I hear bullets, I should call the police." But... if you were hearing that coming from one room next to yours I wouldn't imagine it to be a whole organization of turrists at work. I would assume it was two guys shooting at each other and missing a lot because they're near the end of their story and one of them must die. I kind of got off topic, but eh, it's ridiculous!

The Internet is These Dead Guys

Seriously. I know there was a new Zero Punctuation review of Far Cry 2 out today, and yeah Videogum put up the new Chi City video, but it all feels so...empty. Having played Far Cry 2 for a little over Christmas break (oops, I meant Winter break-don't oppress me!), and so I knew what to expect from Yahtzee. Chi City, another vagina panties, that was not.

Now don't get me wrong, I've prayed at the altar of the internet many times before for fulfillment.
Don't worry, I'm not about to go afk for good. Internet, you let me down today. I just wanted to let you know that I'm not mad. I'm disappointed. And mad. Pick up your game or I will turn this blog around (into a blog about Kazaam)!

Tacos n' Xboxes

You see that kid up there? Yeah it's kind of confusing but I think it goes something like this, the kid won't come eat tacos that his mom made, mom unplugs Xbox, tacos go flying. Then the mom presses charges on her own son! Isn't that nice? Also he called her a bad name. I honestly don't know what to think of this.

There Will be Easy Mac Blood

I finally finished Fallout 3, and I have to say that it was great. No jokes here, just a great game. Play it if you haven't already. The show yesterday went relatively smoothly; a number of minor crises, but nothing that spiraled out of control. We raised a ton of cans and made some money for the venue and ourselves. Now I'm gonna go find the rest of the bobbleheads and try to do a quick run-through as a good character. Yeah, that's right, I play as evil characters. Deal with it. I'm hungry right now, and there had better be some instant Easy Mac in this house or else there will be problems. Easy Mac sandwich. Ha!

Home

SUX! Go suck on a open-wound from some whore named Bell (that's for you, you Twilight freak-holes) if you want to harass my use of verbal lingo! My goodness, since I was let out of school (protect the children!!!), I have done absolutely nothing. If my life could get any more drawn out, I'd turn into Micker Meese or however you children want to pronounce it. To overcome my extreme boredom, I have resorted to playing video games almost around the clock. Though, there is nothing abnormal about this as more than half the families in the United States play/own at least one system and/or game and play more than once a week. The reason why I mention this is because when I woke up and looked at myself in the mirror, I noticed that my eyes are ridiculously blood-shot. Take that stupid James Bond intro, take away the irony and that stupid camera-on-guy-with-gun action, and multiply it by 3 and you get the amount of arteries jetting out of my eyes. I'm attributing this to my playing of video games for 6 solid hours last night before going to bed. Some of you little so-and-so's out there might challenge this by saying I merely didn't get enough sleep. Well, this is what I have to say to you.
^^That's you, a c*nt.
I definitely got enough sleep, I went to bed around 3 am and woke up around 1 pm. Until I am able to find something else to entertain me, or my eyes explode (whichever comes first), I will continue this ritualistic way of life.

Home Bitter Home

Funny thing about my lack of blog posts: it's so totally Raven of me. I know. Since I've been home, I worked on a very serious film project with some friends (which hopefully will be done before the end of the break) and have played some Fallout 3 and Warcraft 3. Piracy is bad blah blah blah.

Missing all the posts that I have is pretty whack, dawg, and it won't keep happening. As a special treat for you all (yeah, all of you), I'll be posting some Google stats about myself tomorrow to demonstrate exactly how big of a loser I am. That ought to attract a few page views.

Look at the Time (...BOO!)

Sorry for scaring you with that title, there. The blogosphere can be a startling place sometimes. I actually almost missed putting up a post today because I lost track of the time. Never fear, though, as I am here. I have nothing to report. It has been an extremely slow news day, and I certainly didn't do anything worthy of note today.

For a couple of hours I got caught up on my back issues of Discover, but then got somewhat bored with it. I get it, I need to go green. Shut up. On a mildly amusing side note, one of their articles is already out-of-date, as it claimed that no telescope currently exists which could directly observe an extrasolar planet. As shown by the two images released on Friday, clearly this is not the case. You need to realign your telescrewed to better focus on Alfail Centauri (wow, that was definitely deserves a zing!).

Later in the day, I became so bored that I fired up (yeah, because it's gas-powered) Cabal for the first time in a few weeks. I play it whenever I'm especially bored, and today was just one of those very slow kind of days.

A week from this Tuesday, I'll be on a train back home for the week. That should be cool. Definitely need to play me some Fallout 3.

No Time for my Rhyme

I'm a rapper. Physics test tomorrow, so I've got no time for a full post tonight. Enjoy today's Zero Punctuation, which is on Saint's Row 2:

The News is Done, Buy Fallout 3

There is no news. In all seriousness, the most interesting thing to me (and thus, the most interesting thing) was the release of Fallout 3. 1UP gave it an A, Gamespot gave it a 9/10 (it's not Halo or Gears of War, so no 10 for you!), and IGN gave it a 9.6/10. It looks really good, but it's necessary to keep in mind the ridiculous amount of score inflation that happens at these places. Remember Assassin's Creed? Yeah, that game sucked after about the first third of the game was over, and yet it got a 9/10 from Gamespot and a 9.5/10 from Game Informer. What? Did they play the same game I did?

I'm willing to give Fallout 3 the benefit of the doubt, though, for 2 reasons:
1. It was made by Bethesda Studios, the makers of my favorite game yet for the 360, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. This game was ridiculously good, and is to this day the only game which I have 100 percented (now fans of Math and proper English can hate me!) both in-game and in achievements.

2. I have a lot of love for the Fallout series (we will not speak of Fallout: Tactics!). I honestly feel a lot closer to this series than I did to Halo, although that probably has a lot to do with my personal preference for RPGs over rootin' tootin' shootin' games (this is the Old West and we play games that are on wooden cartridges).

So, while I would be wary of high scores, this also looks like one of the best games of the year. Here's the IGN video review of the game for those who may be interested in such things (for such things shall lead to the end of the Age of Middle Earth because of my ridiculous language choices when I'm tired):
